Vampire Short Stories

I sighed as his fangs sank into my neck. No, it wasn't a sigh of pleasure and abandonment. It was more a sigh of giving up, accepting that this was a fitting end to a life which hadn't been particularly stellar. No, I wasn't living on the street when the vampire found me, nor was I walking the streets propositioning johns. But expendable; I was the definition of expendable.

I like writing vignettes, short stories. I can pick something, like dialogue or tone, and see if I can really produce a piece of writing that exemplifies it. Over the last year and a half, it has turned out that I can. I have managed to produce around fifteen totally unique stories with very different voices. I have turned out one a month.

As you will note, the March 2009 story is by Nick Jackson, and the April 2009 story is by Max Dorsey, two of my very talented students. The other stories are by me.

But all things must finish sometime. I will now be producing them only when I feel like doing so. But I am leaving this rather interesting record of my written growth instead of pulling them. Enjoy.
